The language of God

le-langage-de-Dieu-2.jpg

The language of God is a means by which the Lord uses to communicate with men. God is so great that He has many ways to talk and teach us.

Since the creation of the world until now, the Lord speaks and will continue to do so. The purpose is to reveal His perfect will, his plan for a man or a nation, demonstrate his existence and the truthfulness of the Scriptures that confirms his divinity (in order to encourage, warn, comfort or urge). In fact this is the aim of the prophecy as we read in 1 Corinthians 14: 1-3.

The language of God is an expression of his love towards men for he wants us to be enlightened in this world full of darkness – God is light. Primarily what God desires for us is not to be living in big houses, nor possessing big cars, getting a job or earning billions, God wants to save us (1 Timothy 2:4). Obviously, in this notion of salvation, there is deliverance regarding demons, slavery from the world, sin, ignorance which kills and any kind of spiritual ties.

It is obvious that to grasp the will of God, we need to approach Him by the means of a sanctified lifestyle and consideration, meditation of the word of God, fasting and prayers. Without being born again, we can never get to access to the things of Heaven where Christ reigns in majesty.

The more we approach God, the more will the flesh be exposed and burned by the fire of his glory in order for our inner being to discern the language of God. This is why it is essential to deny oneself by the Spirit of God.

«I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, that ye present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable unto God, which is your reasonable service. And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God. » Romans 12: 1-2.

Now we need to question ourselves about how God can talk to us. We have a different God from idols. He has no relation with them. If He created us in His image, with ears, it means He also has ears to listen to us, if he has given us a mouth, this means He can also speak…

« For God speaketh once, yea twice, yet man perceiveth it not. In a dream, in a vision of the night, when deep sleep falleth upon men, in slumberings upon the bed; Then he openeth the ears of men, and sealeth their instruction, That he may withdraw man from his purpose, and hide pride from man. He keepeth back his soul from the pit, and his life from perishing by the sword. » Job 33: 14-18.

The Lord can talk to us through dreams and visions (Acts 10), signs (Genesis 24), news or media, men (whether Christians or not), our feelings, convictions or intuitions.

Let us not limit this great God with our reasoning and let us not lock Him in a box by giving Him orders that He should talk to us. God does not only talk through dreams: let us not dwell on one aspect of the divine language, but let us seek the Lord’s guidance. Let us be responsive to God and He will enlighten us.

In order to be efficient, we must search for discernment from our God which comes from the relationship we have with the Lord. Satan copies God: let us keep this in mind and watch. The examples stated earlier demonstrate the greatness of God, who is able to talk to us in many ways.

«The lion hath roared, who will not fear? The Lord God hath spoken, who can but prophesy? » Amos 3:8.

God wants to talk to you in order to reveal Himself to nations. Are you ready? Open your mouth and He will fill it because God wants to talk.
